DetailsHere we have a beautiful and calming oil painting by Clara Innes.
This is a beautiful oil on canvas sheet painting of marshland with ducks coming in to land. The painting is framed with a wooden frame and the overall size including frame is 100cm x 75cm with the canvas painting being 91cm x 61cm with the canvas stapled to a wooden frame and then fitted into the display frame.
Born in Illinois on Nov. 2, 1874 artist Clara Inness was a student at Mark Hopkins Art Institute whilst in San Francisco in 1896-99 and was known for her meticulously executed landscapes. Clara Inness' oil paintings depict the countryside of California. Her attention to the details of the trees, grasses, and banks of rivers and lakes in her artwork create picturesque views of rural areas during the late 1800s and early 1900s. She used neutral tones, bright blues, and plays of shadow and light to create realistic, natural landscapes. She liked to work on canvas, and while oil was her preferred medium, she also used acrylics. Clara Inness' artwork for sale remains popular among collectors of vintage paintings. A spinster, she died of cancer in Santa Barbara, CA on Jan. 15, 1932. -

Yes, we can arrange for you to collect form us and for some larger or delicate items we would prefer this. Just message us to arrange a convenient time for us all.
Can I have a quicker delivery
Yes, we can arrange for 1st class, next day etc where it is offered by Royal Mail. We would make an additional charge for this though so please contact us before purchase if it is not an available option. We are currently updating our postage options to allow this.
Wholesale availability
Most of our items for sale are 'one offs' being items that we come accross that we think you might find of interest so it is unlikely that we would be able to offer a wholesale service, however if we find a supplier of some good quality interesting reproduction items this may change.
Sizing details
We always try to give an idea of the size of any item we sell and if we can we will take photographs showing the size. We will always give sizes in centimetres.
