DetailsHere we have a beautiful ships crystal glass decanter.
This fabulous vintage decanter stands approx. 23cm tall and 18cm in diameter and hold 75cl and weighs just under 2kg.
The decanter has a simple cut class decoration that catches and reflects the light beautifully with glimpses of blue/green/purple refractions. The stopper is fashioned in a mushroom shape. The elegant octagonal neck rises beautifully from the body and is approx. 10cm long giving the perfect gripping size to pour. There are matching etched markings to the base of the decanter and the base of the stopper which we have tried to show in the photographs. They appear to be a '2' and a reversed 'N' although on the decanter base the 'N' looks like 'h'. The decanter is in beautiful condition for its age with just a couple of very tiny chips to the top of the mushroom stopper that are only noticeable under close scrutiny and do not detract from the elegance of this lovely piece.
Ships decanters were designed in this shape to give the decanter a wide & weighty base to stop it tipping over with the roll of the ship at sea.
These decanters are highly collectable and would make a beautiful addition to a collection as well as a stunning piece filled with your favourite liquor, or as a prop for a period drama. -

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Can I collect from you.
Yes, we can arrange for you to collect form us and for some larger or delicate items we would prefer this. Just message us to arrange a convenient time for us all.
Can I have a quicker delivery
Yes, we can arrange for 1st class, next day etc where it is offered by Royal Mail. We would make an additional charge for this though so please contact us before purchase if it is not an available option. We are currently updating our postage options to allow this.
Wholesale availability
Most of our items for sale are 'one offs' being items that we come accross that we think you might find of interest so it is unlikely that we would be able to offer a wholesale service, however if we find a supplier of some good quality interesting reproduction items this may change.
Sizing details
We always try to give an idea of the size of any item we sell and if we can we will take photographs showing the size. We will always give sizes in centimetres.
